On Wednesday, a group of 7 AUCRs took a bus to New York City to take part in a special edition of Glenn Beck’s GBTV program, which focused on conservative college students. I was fortunate to be among those who attended.
We left early Wednesday morning, catching a bus at Union Station for 9:30. By 1 PM we were in New York, and after a lunch break and a long cab ride, we reached GBTV’s studios. Once we were screened through security, we waited for a while in a hallway before getting into the actual studio. At that point it was less than an hour before the show was to begin.
It was at that point that I realized how awesome this was. We were invited to be on Glenn Beck’s show. We were sitting in his brand-new studio, equipped with perhaps the world’s most expensive three-sided chalk board, not to mention the huge TV screen, wood desk, and pieces of Americana. Glenn was talking to us.
Then the show started, and it was awesome.
